In a series of significant moves, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey have been forging stronger ties, with a focus on bolstering economic cooperation, attracting investments, and expanding cultural-humanitarian ties.

Last year, mutual trade between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan reached $1.7 billion, a figure that is expected to grow substantially. President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan has confirmed a highly favorable political climate between the two nations, which significantly contributes to this growth.

Turkey and Kyrgyzstan have signed 19 agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, while Turkey and Kazakhstan have signed 20 deals on energy, AI, and transport to bolster strategic ties. One of the most notable deals is the up to $10B energy deal by Ihlas Holding, which aims to position Kyrgyzstan as Central Asia's hub.

The agricultural sector is identified as one of the most promising areas for growth between the two nations, as it already accounts for 25% of total trade. Turkish Tiryaki Agro has launched a $320M agribusiness in Kazakhstan with a Qatari partner, further boosting this sector.

To facilitate trade, a special roadmap has been signed to increase the volume of trade to $3 billion over the next five years. Next year, an Industrial Trade and Logistics Complex is planned to launch on the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border, and a wholesale distribution center for storing agricultural products in the Almaty region is also in the works.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the target of $3 billion builds on a strong foundation and emphasized his belief that there are great opportunities for increasing bilateral trade turnover. In a show of support, Kazakhstan has invested $1.4 billion into Kyrgyzstan's economy over the past 20 years, including socially significant projects.

The relationship between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan is not limited to economic cooperation. Kazakhstan provides full support for Kyrgyzstan's candidacy as a non-permanent member of the U.N. Security Council for the period from 2027 to 2028. The construction of a road from Almaty to Issyk-Kul is also planned, further strengthening the cultural and humanitarian ties between the two nations.

Special attention was paid to joint projects such as launching an industrial trade and logistics complex at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border. However, no relevant information was found in the search results regarding a corporation committing up to 10 billion dollars for building an energy complex in the border region between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

As these nations continue to work together, the potential for continued growth and cooperation is promising, with both Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan aiming to increase their mutual trade turnover to $3 billion within the next five years.
